    <first-column-description>In continuing our relationship with BET Networks, Killswitch was hired to develop Sunday Best Casting to support the upcoming 3rd season of the show. In this hit reality series from BET, gospel singers are put to the test. In what some would call the gospel version of American Idol, Sunday Best gives gospel singers the opportunity to show off their vocal abilities amongst the world's finest, in a genre of music that both anoints and inspires. Working with BET creative, Killswitch developed a casting site for the show in which users can create profiles and submit audition videos in order to become a contestant on the upcoming season. This site makes use of our custom casting platform, built in Ruby on Rails, that seamlessly blends form and function and easily fields a flood of users. For those whose strong faith supports their strong voices.</first-column-description>

The task was to develop a user experience that served as an interactive &#8220;Mirror On The Wall" application. Killswitch designed and built the user module where Villains are selected by the user. After a Villain is selected, Total Immersion's Augmented Reality plug-in appears. An illustrated mask for the selected Villain is transposed onto the users face and their hands are captured and used in real-time on the screen to play a series of games.

    <first-column-description>In conjunction with the development and launch of Student PIRG's New Voters Project website, Killswitch built this effective and functional facebook application. The facebook application supports the goals of the website and additionally enables students to reach out to their friends through gifts, challenges, and voter information. The application challenged users to raise voting awareness amongst their friends through setting personal outreach goals that could be tracked through a point system. Anyone who registered or pledged on the user's profile page counted as "a point for democracy", and was added to the user's tally of points.   </first-column-description>

The change was made by the company in order to strengthen its communications, unify its several companies under one brand and better reflect its current position. A large piece of this rebranding effort was the redesign of Broin's website.     <first-column-description>MiddleSeatBlues is a website built by Killswitch for Concur with the goal of bringing business travelers together to share their travel stories and help each other out when they&#8217;re on a trip and in a jam. The goal of this project was not to simply create a social network for business travelers, but to create a network that offered business travelers tools that they would find indispensable when planning trips and actually traveling. To do this, Killswitch worked with Concur to identify what features MiddleseatBlues would offer that would be unique to the site and how to present information in a way that separated the site from other travel-orientated sites. Our solution was to allow users to rate nearly everything on the site, beyond just the restaurants, hotels and airlines. Users can rate other users, or &#8220;heroes&#8221; blog articles, &#8220;True Travel Stories&#8221; and photos. The rating system allows for the highlighting of exceptional content and, eventually, the site itself will be able to make suggestions to users.</first-column-description>

Jackass viewers flocked to the site as the new, feature-length film "Jackass 2.5" was premiered exclusively online as an innovative business strategy (and probably on a dare from Steve-O). The site boasts a full archive of video clips from the hit TV shows Jackass and Wildboyz as well as clips from the first two Jackass movies. Additional features include a huge photo gallery, editorial reviews, contests, mobile applications, games, merchandise, a Jackass online community, and ripe, new content from the Jackass crew. The site was built from the ground up using Ruby on Rails and was designed with the unique goal of connecting and coordinating an assortment of Web services and 3rd party applications. The Rails foundation collaborates with a Wordpress blog, a Google search appliance, MTV's video and photo distribution service, a Flux-powered community and Akamai caching to deliver the media-rich end product in a highly scaleable and flexible environment. The site is designed to be an immersive experience, in which members can join the action by submitting "confessional" videos or stay behind the scenes and vote for future cast members. Killswitch guided MTV through a process, with an objective to provide long term stability to this site and was able to use our unique experience in the high traffic site model, to provide invaluable development support once this site launched.     <first-column-description>Through drawing, sculpture, video, performance, &amp; installation, New York-based artist Monika Weiss creates work that combines the qualities of endurance and duration with symbolic form reminiscent of medieval paintings and with the formal simplicity of Minimalism. A few months after we designed a catalogue for her exhibition, &lt;i&gt;Vessels&lt;/i&gt;, the artist approached us to create her website, which would act as an online catalogue for all of her works, recent exhibitions, interviews, essays, and artist writings.
