Sue Chang is a talented, emerging women's footwear designer based right here in Chicago. In need of a name and identity for her new company, Killswitch collaborated with Sue over the course of many months. In the end, Bone & Rattle was born. The name was inspired by combing through technical terms used in the shoe-making process and selecting two that we wanted to combine into a unique, memorable name. The shoe making business is no stranger to Sue, as her entire family has been in the business since she was a little girl, so we felt that an old-style shoe making tool would be a perfect icon to support her brand. The logotype is clean, modern and elegant and her strong, yet chic identity will allow us to push her branding to many levels as we continue to develop the Bone & Rattle brand.
